A Vision for a United and Prosperous Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone is ranked as one of the African countries with the highest youth population with 8 out of every 10 Sierra Leoneans are young people under the age of 35. About 41 per cent of the population of Sierra Leone are under the age of 15 and 62.5 per cent are under 25 years.
Sierra Leone Unites was therefore formed out of the desire to address the “youth question”. The youth question is a central pillar to our work as a building block for nation building. In our quest to create an inclusive Sierra Leonean identify, Sierra Leone Unites responds to the challenges confronting youth, impeding their unique contribution to a prosperous Sierra Leone with a thriving economy. We are on a journey to restore youths as productive members of their communities by empowering them to be agents of sustainable change.
We have taken this initiative to improve a situation by solving growing problems in our communities. We could not have made a better choice than inspiring our young people to dream big of themselves and their society and work towards the transformation of their nation.
We have the belief that it’s only us just like anyone else who can make sure that things go well in our corners of the world. Sierra Leone Unites is here to ensure that the young people don’t deny their nation, and it’s people that uniquely unparalleled contribution for a united, peaceful and prosperous Sierra Leone.
This website was developed with young people and for young people, and I hope that everyone around the world will seize the opportunity provided by this website to stimulate engagement with Sierra Leone Unites as we transform lives and communities.
